Nina Knapman Alcester
I have lived in Alcester with my husband Tim, for the last ten years. I work as a freelance copywriter creating ideas and campaigns in all medias. My step-son is now 23 and in his final year at Brighton University, after which he wants to study so he can teach English overseas. In May 2003, I was elected Town Councillor for Oversley Green. Since then I have spoken and campaigned on behalf of residents for the whole of Alcester - on such issues as Mobile Telecommunication Masts, road and pedestrian safety in the town and surrounding area, affordable housing, flooding in Bleachfield Street and travellers. At present, I am also the Town Councillor charged with initiating the development of a new Town Plan that will involve all residents in having their say about the future of Alcester. Naturally, the building of the new Alcester Hospital with the re-siting of both doctors' surgeries, the future of the Greig and effective policing are also prominent issues vital to everyone in Alcester. In my spare time Tim and I keep the gardens of Our Lady & St. Joseph Church in some order. Peter Barnes Bidford
